  • Indeed! If you log into your Dashboard you should be able to update to WordPress 4.6. And if you go to the Updates section under in your Dashboard you should be able to see the 4.6 update.

    Not yet, lol.

Have you checked to see if it automatically updated to WordPress 4.6?

See the right footer (very bottom) if your WordPress to see the installed version. Plus, if an update is available it will say “Get 4.6 version!”

You may have to click around on your blog before it shows up. It didn’t show on my main blog for awhile. The local copy on PC saw the update first.

Oh, mine doesn’t auto-update (on purpose). It’s possible yours might have already. Check the version in the bottom-right.

    it says version 4.5.3

You can visit Welcome > Updates, and check for updates. There is a button for that, so let’s hope it shows the update after that. 🙂

The updates button says everything is up to date.

No rush. I’ll check again tomorrow. Thanks everyone.

All the best. Let us know if it appears tomorrow. 🙂

Did you install your WordPress via CPanel? It has code to block updates. Do a manual update instead to remove that code.

Well, it’s morning and I still have the 4.5.3 version. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sam Wood: I downloaded directly from the WP site. I am hosted by Go Daddy if that makes any difference.

I found out that Go Daddy is holding the upgrade while they check it out.

I’m also on Godaddy and the update was available to me within seconds of the release. But I’m on their Linux hosting, so it could be for Managed WordPress hosting users. 🙂
