    Hi there

I love your plugin, works way better than the original search. What I’d like to set it for though is so that when the search identifies the queries based on tags, I would like it to organize chronologically even if there’s a hit with a direct match in the title, I don’t want that to hold precedence over the other hits, is there any way to do this?

Meaning if I search “Michael Jordan” I would like all the search terms to sort chronologically no matter if “Michael Jordan” is mentioned in the post title.

    My site is highlighthub.com

    Thanks

    Sean

Also is there a way to ONLY pull from the tags? OR a way to exclude searching the excerpt?

    Thanks

    Hey Sean,

thanks for reaching out – I’ll gladly help!
Unfortunately you can’t sort the results chronologically but you can exclude searching the excerpt and much more. Just go to the plugin settings and tick (or untick) the things you need – for example to disable searching the excerpt untick the box next to “Search every excerpt” and you are good to go. You can check the screenshot for easier navigation. Hope this helps!

Take care and have a nice day.

    Petra
