Workflow staging website
-
Hello everyone,
I have been using WordPress for over five years in my company, and I have been a user of various CMS platforms for more than 15 years. A few years ago, I worked with Ingeniux, which had a very convenient staging functionality. This feature was particularly useful when working on production sites and making changes or updates to content that needed approval before going live.
I have noticed some people mentioning that staging sites add complexity, and it made me wonder if they have a different use case for WordPress or if I have missed a built-in functionality in WordPress that could help me avoid using staging plugins or separate staging sites in a professional setting.
In my organization, we often have multiple people and teams from different countries involved in making changes to live production sites. Having a staging environment allows us to collaborate effectively and ensure that all changes go through an approval workflow before being implemented on the live website.
So, my question is: Does WordPress offer a native feature or functionality that can facilitate a professional workflow with approval processes for website changes, eliminating the need for staging plugins or separate staging sites?
