    Hello,

I have already installed the Compilanz plugin on several sites. However, this time I have the problem that the language and text output is only in English. I would like to change this to German. The WordPress installation is set to German. It displays some words in the menu in German, but the content is completely in English. How can I change that? Do you have a solution for me here?

    Many greetings
    Mike

    Hi @digiprojects,

Could you check for language updates under Dashboard > Updates in the left-hand WordPress Menu, then scroll down the page until you see an “Update Translations” button, and click it?

    Kind regards, Jarno

No Sorry, All translations are up to date. There is no button for an update

    Hi @digiprojects,

Which content is not translated at the moment, does this just concern the Cookie Banner; or also the Legal Documents such as the Cookie Policy?

Are you using any multi-language/translation plugins, or is it really just the Site Language which is set to German, but results in English text being displayed?

If you provide an URL to the website in question, we can take a quick look as well to check if we can spot anything out of the ordinary.

    Kind regards, Jarno

    Hi @digiprojects,

Please do not mention or send any form of login credentials (even test credentials) on the WordPress Forums, as this is strictly prohibited per the Forum Guidelines: https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff

I would be happy to assist. If you can answer the questions in my previous post, that should allow us to find a solution (without requiring any sort of access to your website).

    Kind regards, Jarno

Ok. No Problem. It affects the whole page. All texts are in English. Ehere are just a few words like settings (Einstellungen) in the menu but the rest is in the woring language. I send a Screnshot from the Overwiew with the Problem.

    Hi @digiprojects,

Could you also let me know which language you currently have configured as the Site Language, under Settings > General in WordPress?

I suspect this will be German (Du), but if you can confirm which one you’re using, I can send you the latest translation files and instructions to manually update them.

    Kind regards, Jarno

Site Language is German, and User Language is German.

    Hi @digiprojects,

I just noticed in your screenshot that the Complianz Wizard also hasn’t been finished yet, so that’s what I would recommend starting with.

Upon doing so, you can upload the .mo and .po files attached on the WeTransfer link below, to the folder /wp-content/languages/plugins/ to manually update your German (Du) translation files.

    Hope it helps!
