WordPress.com to WordPress.org

Hi there, I’m going to be attempting a football club website through WordPress.org. I already have some templates bought through Elegant Themes and was keen to get started. I don’t have registration details just yet, but can I use paid themes on the WordPress.com site and how do you upgrade to WordPress.org and update the domain from that side? Cheers.
