WordPress zip 2.45 MB, not 2,.2MB: SAFE?

    I just want to make sure the WP.org WordPress file for download has not been tempered with (hacked) before I install 2.9.2. I read it happened in the past so…

    WordPress.org mentions that the WP zip is 2.2 MB, but, after download, windows says it is 2.458 MB.

    Could somebody explain?
