Title says it all. I’m sure the parameters are correct. What I’m not sure about is the database host and table prefix, the parts that I’m told not to change.

  • You may need to change the database host name, depending on your web hosting setup. It should be changed to reflect where your mysql server is.

You shouldn’t need to change the table prefix unless you are wanting multiple installations of WordPress to share a single database.

I tried looking through the MySQL settings in the control panel of my web hosting, ipower. I couldn’t find anything. In fact the word ‘host’ isn’t anywhere on that page.

The $table_prefix would not be the problem. It’s likely the DB_HOST value–check with your hosting company if you don’t know what that value is.

Nevermind, I found it. Thanks for the help.
