• I have created a hack(wp-wap.php & wp-wap-comments.php) that allow users to browse your blog over a mobile phone or any devices that have a wap browser.
    No configuration is required. Just unzip the file and upload it to your WordPress folder.
    For the demo to work, use a wap browser.
    wp-wap.php ( Demo | Download)

  • Hey, maybe you guys should speak with one of the developers? Im sure that they will make this an integral part of WordPress… I was never really a fan of WAP, but alot people these days with WAP-compatible mobile phones get free WAP time, WAP pages also load pretty fast providing they dont contain any images.

    Hmm, I think plug-in would be better because not many people use this feature =)

    it’s just some extra files! no hacking is needed 😀
    we just need a plugin/hack section on the site in addition from the wiki. 🙂

    @skeen: nope. Why?

    Eeesh… plugin it will stay then. I just thought the other way would be easier, but yeah, you’re right :o)

    I won’t be able to do much now that half-term’s over… if i haven’t finished by next weekend, I’ll link to the code so someone else can have a go at it.

    I cant get this to work, the first page shows up fine but when I click on any link on my phone it takes me to a page that says “request cannot be filled”
    I downloaded WinWap to test to see if it works on there and it works fine.
    My phone is pretty new, its a SE z600

    sometimes it is due to some characters in your post. I have the same problem also.

    dropped this in wp and it works like a charm on a nokia 3300 gprs/wap.
    cheers-r
