Please back up (no pun intended) a bit and explain what you did and what you’re trying to do.
I was trying to upload photos to my site via wordpress, when they would not upload i went to my hosting to download to my Plesk. When I did that I deleted my original wordpress and it was replaced with a fresh one with everything on my website gone.
Well, that was pretty severe…. How are you trying to restore (and what sort of backup do you have)?
I was trying to restore through the database. I have the .sql file and all the wordpress files from my original site. I just don’t know how to restore properly.
upload the files via FTP and then use phpmyadmin from your hosting control panel to import the .sql file.
