The last two security updates (4.4.1 and 4.4.2) caused my contact plugins to stop working. When the user clicks ‘send’, it will not email me their information. It knows that the form isn’t being sent and tells the user that it wasn’t sent.

To fix it, I had to restore WordPress to a previous date. This is not a long term solution.

I have two contact form plug-ins: Contact form 7 (see it here: http://insiteshred.com/about/ ), and Jazzyforms (See it here: http://insiteshred.com/quote/ ). Both of them break similarly when it is updated.

The plugins perform fine otherwise; they just won’t email me the information.

So I figured that there must be some type of PHP setting at my hosting company (godaddy) that was getting screwed up. They told me that it was my plugins not updating quick enough to become compatible with the new version of wordpress. Their suggestion was to dump my current plugins and create new forms with other plugins.

So that’s my question – is their information bull? It would be a lot of work to change out my plugins. Or, is there something that I’m missing? I’m only reasonably adept at wordpress, so I’m unable to challenge them on this. However, it seems unlikely that two plugins would simultaneously stop working on two separate updates. Both plugins are updated to their most recent versions – but jazzyforms hasn’t had an update in quite some time.

Any help or advice from you experts would be greatly appreciated!
