WordPress Structure

Hi there,

I am new to WP and a few questions regarding the structure of my website…

I am creating a site for my bar, uploading photos and videos in the way of posts daily. I will have a number of static pages also, just about each night in the bar.

I was thinking about creating 3 different categories – Photos, Videos & News. Is it possible to create sub-categories? If so, I would create 7 for each photo and video page (one per night – Karaoke Monday for Example) so I could upload to that category each Monday.

Does this sound like it work? If so, how would I create my menu? I have created my own design but not sure how to generate my menu…

I guess I could hard code the pages and categories as these wouldn’t change, only the posts for each category would…

Am I barking up the wrong tree?

I hope i Haven’t ranted on or talked too much jiberish – and appreciate any help offered!
