WordPress Stats not accepting valid API key – FATAL ERROR

    As soon as I click on save after pasting in the api key, I get the following message:

    Warning: require_once(/var/www/vhosts/yourwish.co.nz/httpdocs/wp-includes/class-IXR.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/vhosts/yourwish.co.nz/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/stats/stats.php on line 336

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/var/www/vhosts/yourwish.co.nz/httpdocs/wp-includes/class-IXR.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear’) in /var/www/vhosts/yourwish.co.nz/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/stats/stats.php on line 336

    I get almost exactly the same error. I copy my API number from Akismet, paste it into the stats’ page, and then the error page appears with the text above.
