  • Resolved FIP

    Hi all

Tried to upload a theme, went to activate it and got this message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare my_init() (previously declared in /home/myname/public_html/ in /home/myname/public_html/ on line 340

    Now I cannot access anything.

How can I fix this… i’m not that techie 🙂
I am with hostgator if that helps.

I really need to fix this pretty quickly so anyone that could help me would be appreciated.

I have latest WordPress theme installed. Not that techie so was totally surprised when I accessed Zip folder then pressed activate and from there it went to the above message. Cannot access anything now.

  • Should be easy enough to fix. Use your ftp client or the file manager in your hosts control panel to rename or delete the ‘OptimizePress1.45’ theme folder. That should let WordPress fall back to the default theme so you can get back in. Looks like the theme might have some sort of conflict with the pixopoint-menu plugin.

    Thanks Clayton

I have found the file in my File Manager, however ive highlighted it and cannot seem to rename it?

I’m flying blind here so have no idea what i’m doing basically.

As I say, ive located the theme in File manager, how do I get rid of it or amend it?

Ive highlighted Optimize press in the drop down menu but the delete button is not highlighted so im unable to delete (amend or edit it either) it

    Have deleted theme.

    Back to working.

    You’re welcome.
