WordPress running extremely slow (bluehost)

    I’m one of the editors of emptykingdom.com
    We’ve been hitting heavy traffic 40k-70k each day.
    Our hosting is from Bluehost.
    I’d like to figure out how I can increase the speed of the website.

    I’ve installed Caching plugins, such as..
    DB Cache Reloaded Fix
    Quick Cache
    W3 Total Cache
    WP Widget Cache
    But still I can’t tell the difference.
    It takes on average 10 seconds for the website to even start loading.

    Is there a specific caching plugin I should use instead of those?
    And what other tips or plugins should I install for the website?
    If you can let me know what settings you use for the plugin as well.

    40-70 thousand people visit your site daily and the last two blog post don’t have a single comment, even though there’s a half naked woman in it?
    Either you’re pulling my leg, or your visitors are not human.

    Anyway, contact your host:

    The name server failed to answer queries sent over TCP. This is probably due to the name server not correctly set up or due to misconfgured filtering in a firewall. It is a rather common misconception that DNS does not need TCP unless they provide zone transfers – perhaps the name server administrator is not aware that TCP usually is a requirement.

    BLuehost is sometimes helpful over the phone and other times they’re just simply terrible.

    Sounds like you are violating their TOS… they (and many hosting companies) do not allow adult content… so maybe that is why you have so many visitors and not one comment???

    Well majority of posts that are commented on aren’t based on half naked women. Nude driven articles on art based websites aren’t normally the main chunk of visitors. We get hits from the original, creative, skilled, talent behind these artists. Not just half naked women.

    Some goes with the majority of comments.
