    I received the following message on a client’s website after updating to the latest version.

    WordPress version 5.4.1
    Current theme: Caseron Accounting (version 1.0)
    Current plugin: Yoast SEO (version 14.2)
    PHP version 7.3.17

    Is this a specific issue for this site and how would I correct it?
    The site is displaying correctly.

    Hi @kim01 ,

    We are sorry to hear about the issue you are having on your client’s website. This error is probably because the update couldn’t be completed. As a result of that, there are missing files and and as such, you’re seeing the relevant error. Therefore, we recommend you please manually re-upload the plugin using the following steps.

    Please note that by manually reinstalling the Yoast SEO plugin won’t lose any SEO data that you put into the plugin before. All the SEO data will remain the same as expected.

    1. For the health and safety of your site, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database. This is especially important before installing, updating or removing plugins. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.

    2. Deactivate and remove the existing version of Yoast SEO from your site.

    3. Download the latest Yoast SEO (14.2) plugin.

    4. Install it manually via FTP by following the steps here: https://yoast.com/help/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#ftp.
