WordPress reading the entire server directory problem

Got this from my hosts – regarding rippedandtorn.co.uk (running WP 2.6.2) but had the problem on other WPs on the same servers:

“This site is causing high load on the server due to a process reading through the file servers site directory. Please ask WordPress support why their software is reading the entire server directory.”
