WordPress Post Div or Class Positioning

I have made my own WordPress Template, but I am having trouble displaying the posts correctly. I want at least 4 posts on the front page, and I want them in different positions. For example: The main post will be at the top, then the second will be below that one. The third and fourth will be to the right of those posts. Is there anyway of having posts at different areas on the template?
