WordPress or Joomla!

Hi,

I’m currently debating if I should learn WordPress or continuing learning more about Joomla!. I have played around with Joomla before but I have heard I lot of good comments about WordPress that I started wondering if I should learn it.

Is it easer to create a template in WordPress that in Joomla!?

In Joomla! you deal with three files when creating a template, a PHP file, an XML file and of course an HTML/CSS file.

Can someone please explain the process or the steps in creating a template in WordPress?
