wordpress not uploading to website!?

    Hi, I have just installed wordpress but for some reason it’s not uploading to my site, – site still says “This site under development” and has adverts and guff all over it. This seems like a fairly stupid problem with a probably very simple answer, any help greatly appreciated 🙂 can anyone help with this please??

    Is your browser caching? Either that or you uploaded it to a directory (example.com/wordpress).

    Try pressing CTRL-SHIFT-R and see what happens.

    also, do you have an index.html left there?

    Some hosts have a default index.html with their landing page, it may take precedence over WP’s index.php and need deleted

    Hi!

    Thank you so much for the responses, I had a little time off but ready to try again 🙂
    the first advice didn’t work but thank you,
    as do the next suggestion of deleting the default index.html, how would I do that?
