WordPress Multisite for club use

    Hello,

    I run a website for a group of 12 clubs (http://www.nfrcc.org). My site currently is all straight HTML and want to port it to WP as I have some other WP sites already.

    What I would like to do is create one main site for the parent club and using the multisite capabilities of WP 3.0 add additional sites (nfrcc.org/clubs/site1) that have the same templates.

    I would like each club site to have a common layout as well. Each site having a calendar, gallery, blog, etc but still give each club the control to modify their own information.

    Is there a MU expert that may be able to point me in this direction? So far I have been unable to lock down the member sites to be have a common template and design.

    In MU (WP3 multi site) you as the main admin get to say which themes are available for your clubs to use. Ditto for plugins.
