    Hi,

In WordPress 5.5 there will be default lazy-loading for images.

    Link: https://make.wordpress.org/core/2020/04/08/lazy-loading-of-images-is-in-core/

Since SG Optimizer also has lazyloaded for images and the support team always suggests not to use the same feature in two different software for the same website.

I’m scared lazyloaded feature from WordPress as well as SG Optimizer plugin can conflict.

I just want to know how you guys would tackle this situation. 🙂

Would there be any update to the SG Optimizer plugin for this?

    Hey @gatani

This is great news for the WordPress community 🙂

However, we don’t plan to remove our plugin functionality yet, because there are a lot of users who don’t update to the latest version immediately.

Our lazyload functionality could be easily disabled with one click.

I suggest you test the native wp lazyload and if everything working as expected, you should disable the plugin functionality.

At some point, we may consider removing the entire lazyload block from the plugin, but for now, we won’t do it.

    Regards,
    Stanimir
