WordPress installation redux

    I saw this topic addressed here from 8 years ago, now closed.

    I recently transferred my Google/Blogger custom domain to my web host as an add-on domain. The transfer is complete and I’m trying to upload the files I downloaded for WordPress.org, 4.1. I’ve tried everything: followed the ‘famous’ 5-minute tutorial and other sites for instructions for uploading, to no avail.
    Every time I think I’ve uploaded the files to my host through cPanel File manager, when I check for those files they’re not there.
    The domain link is http://www.whispersinpurple.com

    Bottom line, I’m looking for someone to do this for me.

    Then the fastest, most reliable solution, might be to contact your hosts support group and ask them to walk you through the upload procedure and help you verify that the path you’re taking to the root directory for your new add-on domain is correct.

    If it is, then they should be able to tell you either why your files are failing to upload , or where they actually landed if they did upload.

    Thanks, ClaytonJames. I’m thinking that’s what I’m going to have to do. I keep trying things but . . . nothing.

    The links to hire someone actually is where you go when you want to hire someone to do the work for you. I deleted your email. Please don’t ask to hire people here. Use the jobs board. That’s why it’s there 🙂

    You have cPanel, so make sure you put WP in the public_html folder.
