WordPress fails upgrading from php5.2 to php5.5

    Hello,
    I use 1and1, and we have to change from php5.2 to php5.5

    When upgraded, error 500 internal error occurs. I cannot find any log.

    I have unactivated all the plugins, deleted them, upgrade wordpress to 4.0 and the results is always the same: “INTERNAL SERVER ERROR”.

    My script isn’t a magic thing that does it for you. This was something specific which had to be dealt with for at least us (1&1). Which most likely doesn’t do much anymore when you are hosted at 1&1.

    In the case of inesbd, it’s a different host so it could help but no guarantee. So if you have a normal decent site moving to PHP 5.5 should be painless. I assume your host has a UI to switch. You can then test how your site works and if something breaks then you can ask for help. Currently there is no way to help you out since you didn’t move yet and I have no clue how ovh works.
