WordPress doesn't play fair with Firefox

    Hi,

    I am generally a Firefox user, but recently for the last 2 months I have noticed that WordPress doesn’t seem to play fair with Firefox. The result is I find a lot of stuff missing, like even when some plugins are activated and I am expecting some stuff to appear in the posts/pages, it doesn’t show up in Firefox; thus leading me to think that the plugin doesn’t work. However, checking my blog in other browsers (Chrome, IE, Opera, default android browser even) makes me believe otherwise, where they work without an hitch! Not only Plugins, but I have also noticed a lot of other WordPress default stuff like tabs, etc, doesn’t seem to work sometimes.

    I am kind of puzzled if it’s Firefox updates which are breaking these or is it something from WordPress’ end. Has anyone faced similar issues?

    P.S. I absolutely love WordPress, so please don’t take it otherwise and I’d continue to use it, so I ain’t flaming or something.

    That’s odd. Which version of Firefox are you using, and have you tried with all of your Firefox add-ons disabled?

    Hi MacManX,

    Thanks for your response. I am using Firefox 31.0. The funny thing is I most often use my office system where there are no addons installed, so that shouldn’t be an issue.

    What do you mean by WordPress, are you referring to the dashboard?

    I am referring both the Admin dashboard and the general blog as well.

    Is it just your blog, or are other things oddly slow over your office network? Many office networks have odd content control things in place.

    Hi MacManX,

    It’s just my blog. Yes, it’s a bit slow which is fine, but I am concerned with things not working in Firefox whereas in other browsers they work just fine.

    I’ll try to remove firefox and give it a shot, maybe something fishy with it.

    Yeah, that does sound very odd, to have a slowness just in Firefox. Are you absolutely sure that there are no add-ons running?
