I was using wpDataTables for a week or so and it was working great. However, I just received an email from WordPress saying that they found that the wpdatatables plugin or theme contains a vulnerability. They automatically removed the entire extension.

Wondering if anyone knows the reason for this? I just had a simple table on my page, nothing special. I recreated it with a plain table now, but wanted to see if there’s a way to get this back?

    Hi westcoastsci,

    Sorry for inconvenience,

We are not sure what you have set on your server(plugin or server settings) or is set by default on your server that automatically delete plugin or theme that is found from some resource that have potential vulnerability.

Recently we have some vulnerability issue in our premium version of plugin and it is fixed in latest version, but like I said for premium version not Lite.

Those resource where is stored those information about theme or plugin vulnerability are generated by theme or plugin slug. Those slugs are the same in both plugins and because of that you get those notification.

Like we said we are not sure how they are automatically deleted.

Your created tables are still in your database. If you install it again you will see it. We believe that there is a settings where you can ignore those notifications for Lite version of our plugin, because it is safe to use as our premium version as well.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards.
