WordPress 7.0 iframe editor – CSS loading error, buttons not appearing

    Hi, thank you for developing this plugin. I ran into some issues after updating WordPress version to 7.0.

    The main issue is the missing buttons in the backend editor.

    Issue:

    • WP Recipe Maker block buttons don’t appear in editor
    • Console shows: “wprm-blocks-css was added to the iframe incorrectly”
    • Error: “Please use block.json or enqueue_block_assets to add styles to the iframe”
    • All other plugins are updated, but still not working

    More details:

    • Plugin version: 10.6.1
    • WordPress version: 7.0
    • Theme: Blocksy

    I assume it’s the incompatibility with WordPress 7.0 iframe editor, but not 100% sure if it might due to other reasons, as I haven’t seen other people reporting this issue here yet.

    My workaround now is to create the recipe in the dashboard first then adding it to the post later. But it takes extra time, so I hope there’s a way to fix it.

    Hi Nora,

    I’m not aware of a general issue like that, so it could be some kind of compatibility problem. Could you try using the Health Check plugin to test? We have a video in our documentation showing you exactly how to do that: https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/108-debugging-plugin-problems

    Specifically the compatibility mode shown in the video where it basically tests a default theme and no other plugins active.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I found out it’s a compability issue with another plugin (Heroic Table of Contents). Once I disabled it, the buttons show.

    I hope this helps someone else as well if they ran into the same issue.

    I wanted to let you know we just released WP Recipe Maker 10.7.0 in which we’ve included a fix to prevent the Heroic Table of Contents plugin from hiding our buttons.
