Is there an update coming out to fix these things?
So far over sixty million downloads of WordPress 4.7!!!!!
Your issue could be site-specific or server-specific.
Next major release will be 4.8, planned for June
attempted all of the suggested fixes
Have you tried MANUALLY updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Please read the Manual Update directions first.
The site takes 4-24 hours to update
That sounds like cache issue.
Try flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. If your host provider has a “Purge Varnish” option or if you can ask your provider to flush memcache on your server. If you are using SiteLock, manage your caching there

Great for WordPress – what does this have to do with my issues? There are a lot of people having these exact same issues. I know this well because I have been on support sites trying to figure out why my site went down.

Thank you. I already did all of these things. Had absolutely no effect.
Here’s my 2 cents:
If you have tried all the suggestion, let someone else look into it
