wordpress 1-click installation

    Hi all,
    This is my first experience with wordpress so I am confronting problem in the very beginning. I have taken a webhost which supports wordpress automatic 1-click installation. I have installed wordpress following the instructions, but after installing it unable to see where wordpress is installed? I mean I cant see my wordpress blog anywhere in my c-panel.

    Does anybody know where the fault lies?
    After 1-click installation of wordpress, where to go to find and use it in c-panel?
    Hope u people understand my problem and help me resolve it as soon as possible.

    log in your cpanel and click on file manager and public_html check if you have your wordpress in public_html if it is not there then there should be folder in public_html.

    You are looking for wp-admin,wp-content and wp-includes folder and along some other files

    yes there are many files in public_html, but what to do next,i mean what to do with these files? Plz guide me step by step. It could be a great help….

    You do not need to do anything with those files do not touch them log out of cpanel

    If you have wordpress in your public_html then just put domain name in address bar and your website should open

    to log in admin you go to http://yourdomianname/wp-admin
    and enter your user name password and you will be in wordpress admin panel.

    Thanks Govpatel! but even by following yr instructions I am unable to reach my wordress website. My URL is http://www.pkmobilephone.com
    Plz help me out if you identify the problem….

    When you installed the program must have asked you where you want to install your wordpress as I have not come across any sever program install wordpress and not tell you where it is installed.

    I would say see if you can get in touch with Go Daddy see if they can help you as without me seeing inside your host account is hard to know what exactly you have on the server.

    Hi Govpatel!
    Let me tell u that someone has advised me to have manual installation of wordpress and instead of 1-click installation. He said that 1-click installation of wordpress creates problems in later stage. Is it true? Is manual installation better? Is it necessary that I install wordpress manually on my computer?Can someone on my behalf install it manually on his computer? I mean is it possible?

    Plz answer my queries coz i m in real trouble.

    I have always installed my wordpress on host server as I find it lot easier to work on server than to install on computer and then transfer.

    I installed wordpress in godaddy through its hosting app…I can see all files in my file manager but when try to open website page it is giving script instead of admin page…plz help!!

    You need to contact Go Daddy as that seems odd should not see the code they are only one can help you as there is problem on the server.
