Can’t find a way to delete this so I am marking it as resolved. I found the answer out.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I was trying to update Wordfence from 6.1.14 to the new 6.3.0 and clicked the update then recived the following message:

Update Failed: Download failed. cURL error 7: couldn’t connect to host

My webhost provider has a firewall system that prevents access to external servers but you can override this if you have the server name. I am suspecting that this might be the issue – it may not be of course, but it is a good start.

Can anyone advise me what the server name is please?

I had a similar problem with the WAF install and I had to allow access to noc1.wordfence.com in the firewall. So – it isn’t that one. I have also had to allow access to wordpress.org via the firewall as that was causing another issue.

Clearly, I could remove the firewall but I’d much rather not

I am running on a Debian install.

If anyone could provide assistance then I would be grateful.

    Many Thanks
