Wordfence-slow HTTP POST vulnerability

    Hi Everyone,
    I am just curious if there is a workaroun in Word Fence Firewall that i can deploy on my website which would mitigate Slow POST HTTP attacks.

    I dont have access to Server side settings so the solution is not feasible.

    I was thinking of setting up rules that can block slow connections?

    Any leads would be helpful.

    Hi @abtariq,

    Unfortunately, there is no WordPress plugin that can prevent these types of attacks.

    Wordfence (along with any other WordPress plugin) runs after the connection is fully received. This means it’s not possible to intercept and block connections that are taking up too much time to finish.
