Wordfence Security 7.11.4 problem

    FYI, we had a problem this morning with one of our sites, where the wp-admin login was hanging up, preventing us from logging into the WP Dashboard. We determined that it was Wordfence Security 7.11.4 that was causing the issue. If anyone has a similar issue, feel free to ask any questions you may have about our configuration or troubleshooting process. The plugin is in use on several of our other sites and seems to be fine there, so it may just be a simple conflict.

    Hi @docsheldon, thank you for contacting us.

    Could you confirm whether you have reCAPTCHA enabled through Wordfence, or whether you are using any other login-related plugins or a custom login-flow?  You can check the reCAPTCHA settings via Wordfence > Login Security > Settings.

    Please note that using reCAPTCHA/2FA from our Login Security module in Wordfence will likely in some cases cause conflicts with other reCAPTCHA/2FA plugins (if present) as the way the login flow is dealt with may not be consistent and break when trying to log in.

    Can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.
