Wordfence scan runs forever

    I never see Wordfence actually finishing a scan. Most options are default, including scan schedule. I enabled Premium features for scanning. It just worries me if it ever finishes a scan and i don’t get the scan results. Whenever i look at scanning is in progress. I did try a couple of times to stop the scan and start a new one, as i just did 45 minutes ago, and it is still scanning, below shows what is always in progess.

    Scan detail activity is also 45 minutes old.

    Hi cwe45,
    To see if the scan has stopped or is actually running you can check your access logs to make sure. There should be entries there constantly if the scan is still going. I would guess what is happening is rather that the scan is interrupted for whatever reason. Two things you can check

    1. Try the scan while keeping a browser console open to see if there are any JavaScript errors or files that fail to load

    2. Check your servers error logs.
