Wordfence blocking new users from logging in

    Hi,
    I’ve had some users complain they can’t register and sign in. Their password doesnt work so they reset it still doesn’t work. They might lock themselves out so I unblock in Wordfence. Now I tried it myself. Create a new account and I cannot login. The password is wrong. So I reset the password. error:”Password is invalid.”. I’ve tried this over and over but the new password doesn’t seem to take even if I reset the password in the WP backend. The account is not getting blocked, I’m not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions?

    Hello @therewardboss,

    Have you tested to see if you are running into problems registering and logging in with all your plugins deactivated? If you disable all your plugins and try switching to the default theme and are still running into this issue, you may need to contact your host for further direction. Wordfence does not send a “Password is invalid” error, and also does not interfere with the account creation process.
