My site is having trouble posting the post from other users that are not admin. This is what is return in advanced stats:

The settings seem all ok, but I can’t seem to figure this one out. :S
That’s a cache refresh – not a post diagnostic.
Have those users set up Wordbooker against their account? If not then Wordbooker wont publish their posts unless you change the settings as documented in the user guide.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE LOOKING FOR A SOLUTION TO WORDBOOKER RE-POSTING PREVIOUS OR AGED BLOG POSTINGS TO YOUR FB PAGE (AFTER PERFORMING ANY TYPE OF EDIT), THIS IS WHAT YOU DO TO PREVENT IT.
Go to > Settings > Wordbooker
Scroll down until you see the line that says: Update Facebook Status (followed by a check box) and then a text box with some pre input writing about Title and Post with a % symbol. Erase what you have in that text box. It should be blank. Save it.
Doing this has prevented all of the re-posts upon edit for my blog and it’s feed to my FB page.
Hope this helps.
This is my config:
Blog Level Customisation
Unless changed, Posts will be published on the Facebook belonging to : Nuno Coimbra -> This is an admin
Length of Extract : 256(default)
Default Publish Post to Facebook : yes
Publish Posts by non Wordbooker users : yes
So, I would expect that all my users would post to the associated acount, right? This is not happening 🙁
abeebout : firstly – there is no need to SHOUT. Secondly all that is doing is clearing down the Status update field – so rather than clear that out you can uncheck the Update Status box.
Also if you don’t want old post to be republished on Edit then you can simply uncheck the two publish post options before you edit the post
stargazernc : Can you turn on the advanced diagnostics and get someone who isn’t the admin user to publish a post and then post the trace in here?
Hi Steve,
I’ll do that, as soon as I get off work. Stay tuned. 🙂
Hello, good morning.
It seems there are deeper issues with the theme of our site. Probably, as far as I could tell, there is some kind of error during posting when the user is not an admin, before youir plugin kicks in. So, I’ll investigate that and then if there is a problem I’ll let you know.
Thanks, and sorry for the bother.
I use wordbooker to display my status on the frontpage. It functioned great but now it doesn’t seem to update. Could this be because I’ve moved the whole wordpress installation?
Are you getting any errors if you go to the Wordbooker options page?
If not try doing a manual refresh of the Facebook data – there’s a button to force your blog to go and get data from Facebook.
It works now. There were no errors but I think the not up-to-date status was caused because the facebook posts were containing links or were ‘links’ instead of ‘status’.
Thanks for the quick reply, Steve.
A Status post can’t contain any “attachments” (like links, images) – if they do its classed by FB as a wall post.
I have just deleted Wordbooker…too much babysitting for this plugin.
“Too much babysitting”. You reported one problem and then deleted it before trying to work out the problem.
However that’s your choice.
