    Hello

    The standard search on my site is not working.

    I have 100 posts and 4 authors. So it is all very simple.

    I have two posts under the author Lisa Tomas. I can see the author name on the post but when I search internally on the admin post screen or externally in any of the user-facing pages with a search box only one post comes up.

    Using the full name (as is under Users) will no results
    Using the nickname brings just one result.

    Searching for Tags is not working. Actually, there are no good search results as far as I tested. It doesn’t work

    Can anyone help me understand how the WP search works and what I can do to fix it?

    The user facing pages issue is likely related to a bug in your theme. Please provide a link to your website or the name of the theme you are using so that myself or another volunteer can guide you in the correct direction.

    As for the search in the admin area you will only find one user with the Full name or the nickname on the users screen. Also, in my experience I’ve never been able to search for only posts using the authors full name. The only way I’ve been able to pull up a list of all the posts by one author is by clicking that authors name in the author column on the posts screen. If a post is missing when you do this chances are that you are either not an admin or if you are the missing post was accidentally assigned to a different users account.

    I hope the info about the admin search area helps a little bit.
