• When I click on the Add Media button on my text page, no link to a photo happens. I did everything properly, including filling out all of the text in the boxes near the photo, and even though the photo is uploaded, neither the photo or computer language will permit the photo to appear on my text page. Can anyone help?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap. As you have such an old version of WordPress, you will need to carry out a series of smaller manual upgrades. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.

Now, on both of my photos to use, it says a 4521 as the numbers of ID’s,
instead of the usual zero. It says on Page ID and but should say zero instead of 4521. Can anyone help? I’d be thankful.

    I don’t know where the plug-ins are!

Anyway, I have something calle “image optimizer” and it has text like Reduced by 2.9% (4.7 kB)
    Image Size: 154.10 kB
    Re-optimize!

I found the plug-ins. does checking off in the small box plug-in turn it off or turn it on?

No. You have to use the deactivate links.
