    Hi!

I have a question regarding functionality of the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin. I’m selling monthly subscriptions for the physical box. The subscription is synchronized to the 5. day of each month. I want to set up the subscription in the following way:
    – if the client buy the subscription from 5. to 20. day of the month, the client pays at this moment the first subscription and the next payment will renew in the 5. day of following month (from 15 to 30 days after first payment)
    – if the client buy the subscription from 21. to 4. day of the month, the client pays at this moment the first subscription and the next subscription will renew in the second following month (15 to 31 days after first payment).

Is it possible in the WooCommerce Subscriptions? I read all the docs and coudn’t find that option.

    Hey @szymmonn

Yes, this can be done. Basically, you will need to use a signup fee and a free trial period of about 15 days.

Example 1: customer signs up on the 12th of January → free trial ends on the 27th of January → next payment is on February 5.
Example 2: customer signs up on the 23rd of January → free trial ends on the 8th of February → next payment is on March 5.

You’ll also need to set a Sign-up fee, to ensure that the customer will make their first payment when they purchase the product.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you very much. I’ve already came up with the idea, but it has one con. When the client buys subscription in this way, in column Total on the Checkout page there is information about Trial Period which can be misleading. Also in the client’s account there is information about this trial period. Do you suggest to just hide this information with a help of programmers?

    Hey @szymmonn

Indeed, that could be a bit confusing. To fix that, you can use this free plugin, which allows you to change how the pricing is displayed on the product page:

Thank you for this plugin very much! It helped me a lot. The last part is the trial period on the client’s account. Could you share your perspective on this problem? Is there a plugin for that too? 🙂
