• Hi dear,

I accidentally deactivated the WooCommerce plugin, which resulted in product navigation links and product pages all being gone. Wanting to reactivate the plugin, then I realized that it is no longer an option for me unless I choose to upgrade my WordPress version, which is not what I want to do for some reason.

Can anyone tell me how I can reactivate the WooCommerce plugin without needing to updgrade the WordPress version? Thank you.

    Best,

    Steven

    Hi @stevenzhou007!

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you accidentally deactivated WooCommerce, and when you tried to reactivate it, you were prompted to update WordPress first.

To better understand the situation, could you please let us know:

    • Which WordPress version are you currently using?
    • Which WooCommerce version are you trying to activate?
    • What exact message do you see when you try to activate WooCommerce?

Also, could you let us know why you prefer not to update WordPress? Keeping WordPress, WooCommerce, and other plugins up to date is important for security, compatibility, and bug fixes. WooCommerce versions may also require a minimum supported WordPress version, which could explain why the plugin cannot be activated on your current version. For more details you can use this guide: https://woocommerce.com/document/server-requirements/#server-requirements

Once we have the versions and the exact message you’re seeing, we can better advise you on the available options.
