    Hello,

I’ve searched the forum but can’t seem to find a solution to the problem I am having.

I am importing around 200 products via CSV to WooCommerce – and am having an issue with variants.

After working on my spreadsheet, all product options were importing fine and displaying in the dropdowns. After closing and re-opening my file as a CSV, any new variable products I am trying to add only show the first option in the dropdown.

I can’t get my head round at all what the issue is, as the CSV is mainly untouched in terms of formatting etc and new products are being copied from existing products that do work OK.

    I’ve uploaded the CSV here:
    https://we.tl/t-0QVDCCCFRy

You can see row 179 for example is a new addition and although the ‘weight’ dropdown shows all options, only ‘plain’ shows for flavour dropdown and all other options are ignored from the cell.

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out to our forum.
Do I understand correctly that you’re ending the CSV file in order to add the Diced Chicken TEST?

I uploaded the file that you shared and could replicate the issue. Next, I took a deeper look at the CSV file, lines 179 – 184.

Here is what I found in the AS (Attribute 2 value(s)) column for these lines:

Plain, "Katsu, Bombay, Mexican, Chinese, Ginger Soy & Garlic, Salt & Pepper, Cajun, Piri Piri, Sweet & Sour, Tikka, BBQ, Hot & Spicy"

    Whereas it should be

Plain, Katsu, Bombay, Mexican, Chinese, Ginger Soy & Garlic, Salt & Pepper, Cajun, Piri Piri, Sweet & Sour, Tikka, BBQ, Hot & Spicy.

The double quotes around Katsu, … Spicy seem to be a problem here.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Paulina,

Thanks for the reply. Sorry, I should have stated that all original attempts had been without the double quotes, but I had attempted this before looking for help as I seen somewhere this may have worked.

I just hadn’t chenged it back before uploading.

    Thanks

Yes I still need help with this as removing the double quotes does not fix the issue.

    Thanks

    Hi there!

    Thanks for getting back.

I see the variations have all the attributes assigned to them. If you want a variation to have “Any Flavour”, the value should be blank:

So, it could either have a single attribute value or a blank value.

Then, you’ll be able to see all the flavors for that variable product:

    I hope this helps! 🙂

    This worked!

Thank you so much. Have been trying all weekend to fix this.

    Many many thanks.
