WooCommerce Malfunctioning (Internal Server Error)

On any product on our site, the add-to-cart button creates a 500 Internal Server Error. This started within the last week. I’ve deactivated and removed all WooCommerce-related plugins, so I have just the one. No changes seem to affect the behavior of the site.
I understand this is an internal server error, but I’m having a lot of trouble determining what the root cause is so that I can fix it.

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. You already did a great job on the conflict test you’ve done so far, but I’d recommend doing a full test to make sure.
The best way to do this is to:- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce, even the ones you don’t think matter.
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
This is best done on a staging site. That’s a copy of your live site, so you can test things out without making changes to your actual site. Some hosting companies offer a staging site service within their hosting plans. If yours does not, there is a great free plugin that will allow you to build a complete staging site with a few button clicks: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging.
If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. I created a stage site, changed the theme, and deactivated every plugin except WooCommerce.
Now, instead of a 500 error, the action of adding to the cart simply causes the page to refresh and nothing is put in the cart.
Any additional suggestions on the approach to take?
Can you please copy and paste the system report for this site with everything turned off? You can find it under WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

Hi again – looking at your System Report, I see that there is still a large number of plugins active. Rather than deactivating all WooCommerce related plugins, please make sure that all plugins except WooCommerce have been deactivated.
Does that make a difference?
I deactivated everything and re-ran the report. This did not change the “refresh” behavior upon clicking Add to Cart.

Hey there!
In looking at an example page, I was able to see this in action.
Here’s what I think might be a root cause:
Link to image: https://d.pr/i/2PVV5kLooking at that console error tells us there’s an error in the syntax of the site there, but it doesn’t offer too much in the way of pinpointing where it’s coming from, etc.
I would recommend checking this site with the Storefront theme (by us) active, and all other plugins disabled, to see if that helps. Since you already tested with plugins disabled, the other large hunk of code would be the theme.
Since it’s been a while since we last heard back from you, I’m going to mark this thread resolved.
