I have a really odd thing happening and cant’ figure out what is causing it. Woocommerce is randomly generating coupons, with the latest being “discount_5f7c4559d91f7”.

All coupons show up for .01 percent discount, and there are no other users creating them. When I look at my logs, I see this:

Message: Shop_coupon status has been changed; details: ID: 18363,Old
    status: new,New status: publish,Title: discount_5f7c4559d91f7

    Accessed by: IP Address: 208.196.3.108
    Reverse IP: machine108.panynj.gov

No idea what that IP or Reverse IP are, and no idea why/how these coupons are being generated. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hi there,

This kind of problem is usually caused by either your theme or a plugin on your site.

The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
