• I’m having issue with my WooCommerce checkout page.

I have PayPal as my method of payment and a flat shipping rate added for pricing total.
The problem I am having is when someone goes to the checkout page both of those don’t show up.

They only show up only after someone attempts to place a order and when that done it’s read as invalid payment.

Can someone help me resolve this issue.

  • @housbm you’ll need to post your site, what your shipping zone setup is, how you’ve configured flat rate, your system status report and what sort of PayPal (as there are many extensions) you are using.

@anphira I setup my checkout page with shipping zone based for US and added the flat rate to it. I have just PayPal standard setup

The only thing that I see is wrong with the system setup is that PHP is stated as an older version.

Do you think that’s the reason why the payment method is saying invalid and why the flat rate doesn’t show up when someone first go to the checkout page?

@housbm server settings that don’t match the needs of WooCommerce can interfere with its functioning correctly.

Also check your settings for shipping (WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping Options) and make sure that you haven’t checked the “Hide shipping costs until an address is entered”. That option prevents any shipping from showing until the customer has entered an address.

@anphira Ok I figured out what was causing the problem … it was the theme itself.

Do you know what the best alternate method for WordPress shopping cart besides WooCommerce?
