WooCommerce 3.x Compatibility

    Getting this error message with the latest version of WordPress/WooCommerce/Fruitful:

    Notice: woocommerce_get_page_id is deprecated since version 3.0! Use wc_get_page_id instead. in /home/johannes/public_html/rafaeldejongh-testwebsite.ga/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3830

    Notice: WC_Product::get_gallery_attachment_ids is deprecated since version 3.0! Use WC_Product::get_gallery_image_ids instead. in /home/johannes/public_html/rafaeldejongh-testwebsite.ga/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3830

    Notice: Undefined variable: related_products in /home/johannes/public_html/rafaeldejongh-testwebsite.ga/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product/related.php on line 23

    Seems there are also various template files being outdated, tested with both the version that can be downloaded from the WordPress Theme Repo as well as the Github Release version.

    Any news when Fruitful can be compatible with WooCommerce 3.X?

    Hello.

    Thanks for using our theme.

    We have some improvements regarding compatibility with the latest version of Woocommerce at this moment. And our developer continues working on this.

    Please, try to use the latest developers version from GitHub in order not to wait for the update:

    https://github.com/Fruitfulcode/Fruitful

    You should replace your data directory to data from the archive. Don’t forget to unzip it. If you didn’t change anything in the source files then your configuration will be not lost.

    Information about outdated WooCommerce files does not affect
    on theme functionality and mean just version of plugin. We update it time to time.

    @snoeckie,

    Let us know if you ever get a concrete and meaningful response to your question about fruitful theme updates via the wordpress updater. We have been very happy with the fruitful theme, but since we would prefer to retrieve official theme updates via the standard wordpress updater, we’re evaluating other themes.

    We have updated to Fruitful Theme v3.4 in our test environment and are still seeing the following issues:

    • woocommerce_get_page_id is deprecated since version 3.0! Use wc_get_page_id instead
    • fruitful/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php version 2.6.3 is out of date
    • The “add_to_cart_fragments” hook uses out of date data structures and function is deprecated since version 3.1.2. Replace with woocommerce_add_to_cart_fragments.

    We performend the v3.4 update via the WordPress dashboard. Should we have retrieved the v3.4 update in a different manner to get these latest updates?

    Other than this, the new version appears to be working perfectly in our test environment. Thank you for the great theme and for your hard work.

    • WooCommerce 3.1.2
    • PHP 5.6.31

    Thank you for Fruitful Theme 3.5! The update was painless on our website and all WooCommerce template issues are resolved.

    We are still seeing the following errors after our update to 3.5:

    • woocommerce_get_page_id is deprecated since version 3.0! Use wc_get_page_id instead
    • The “add_to_cart_fragments” hook uses out of date data structures and function is deprecated since version 3.1.2. Replace with woocommerce_add_to_cart_fragments.

      • Both of these deprecated function calls are in Fruitul theme functions.php.
