    Hi guys,
    Woocommerce filter URLs are being indexed by Google even though the canonical points to the main category page.
    Am I missing a step / setting?

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The Canonical URLs are just a directive for Google, not a rule for it to follow.

    It seems like Google is finding your filter pages useful for the users and thus indexing them.

    Are you also getting traffic on these pages?

    If not, then such URLs should get purged automatically down the line.

    If you are getting the traffic on such pages, you might have to look into the metrics of the users visiting your site and it could be a good idea to either create separate pages with these products or let Google index these filtered results.
