    Hi,

I have tried several times over the last few days to install Matomo via Add Plugins in Admin of my site.

Most times the rotating Installing symbol just keeps rotating forever. One time I got an error message – sorry I dont remember exactly what is was.

I am trying to install on a Flywheel Local test site running on my local computer. I am able to install any other plugin I have tried to install.

    Please help.

    Hi there,

sorry about that @wpfan1000 . I’ve just fixed the link and it’ll be updated from our next release. https://demo.matomo.cloud/ is the correct new URL.

In “Add plugins” did you upload the plugin or install it from the WP plugins directory? It sounds like you are maybe trying to upload the plugin? Any chance you could try to install it through the plugins directory?

    Hi @tsteur,

Thanks for the very quick help.

I’ve looked at the demo. Thanks for that.

I had the issue when installing it from the WP plugins directory. Not uploading. I noticed after, that the plugin had installed, even though the rotating Installing symbol kept doing its thing.

I put this up to using a Flywheel Local test site, the site is not on the Net.

I consider both my issues resolved.

Thanks again for the very quick and good support.

PS the demo says at the bottom:

You are viewing the demo of Matomo

It has a lot of features and makes me wonder – is it a demo of the free or paid version?

Maybe you could make that clear in demo…..

Great, glad they are resolved and it’s working.

Thanks for the feedback regarding the demo. There are indeed a few paid features shown. When you view a paid feature, it should show a message like https://demo.matomo.cloud/index.php?module=CoreHome&action=index&idSite=1&period=day&date=yesterday#?idSite=1&period=day&date=yesterday&segment=&category=MediaAnalytics_Media&subcategory=General_Overview that it’s not available in the free version. It’s shown in the blue info box but it could be made more clear. Thanks for this.
