Will wordpress remove “name” tags automatically?

    I’m using SyntaxHighlighter for syntax high lighting in my blog, which requires all code segments are marked by <pre name=”code”>, but it seems wordpress will remove name tags automatically after I switch from HTML editor to visual mode. Is there any way to stop it from this?
