I can rephrase. Will popup url load even though the popup is not fired?
My popup shows an ad. It only fires once every 30 days, and only on desktop.
Nevertheless, I see my stats saying something like
Clicks: 60
Non unique clicks: 600
So basically it looks like it always loads the popup url in the background, even though it does not fire it.
A user sees the popup, closes it and continue to browse the website. The popup loads in the background every time the user changes the page?

The statistics will be considered only if the popup appeared, there are no statistics of the “background mode”. If you have any doubt – then give us a link, where we can check it.
