Widgets not saving, just hanging

Hi,

I have just installed wordpress and im trying to add widgets to the sidebars, whenever i drag a widget to the bar it shows the time icon next to the save button and this just keeps going on and on, hanging forever, yet never saving or adding the widget!

My other sites work fine so i believe it to be a settings problem / permissions rather than browser!

Any idea’s??
