Widget Woes

My widgets just wont work π
I have tried ALL day to figure this out by reading the forums and trying out different combinations but to no avail πat the moment I have the widgets set up in admin and they do not show up on the page that way. The right sidebar appears as the default even though i have changed the widgets around.
Initially all i was trying to do was add two text widgets.. one with with a blurb and a link to the first post on my blog, which i succeeded in doing but when i went to add another text widget, it appeared behind my picture in the main post but if i deleted the text and just kept the title it would go where it should. Whatever i did to try and resolve any issue was undone and screwed up every time I made any other adjustment.
No matter how many times I move the widget around they will not appear where I want them to and when i move a widget from one sidebar to the other it shifts the text out of alignment.
I sure could use some help?

Still going to carry on trying to troubleshoot it so the widget placements might move!Oh and I am using a widget ready theme.

Ok. Things are looking a little more manageable there now – can you try changing this code at the very end of your style sheet from:
.textwidget{ margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px; float:left; padding:0 15px; color: #0C4769;}to:
.textwidget{ margin: 2px 5px 2px 5px; padding:0 15px; color: #0C4769;}Happy Birthday to you, and don’t worry about paypal donations π
Glad to be giving back to the WordPress community. If you’re interested, wander over to http://www.ebauche.net and download some of my music. If it’s not your thing but you know someone who likes it, sure pass it on!
I listened to your music and I was impressed π
It is a little TOO raw for my old ears but I know LOTS of people who would love it π I shall promote you everywhere I go πI changed the code as you suggested and that made a huge difference!! all I can see now is the problem with the “tags”.
I changed a few of the widgets around to make sure they were functioning correctly and everything looks ok up to now! I am starting to get excited !!
Thanks for the birthday wishes…I am off to drink some red wine π
Brilliant – I love when stuff works out. Obviously I’d be happier if the theme was coded better but… π
To fix your tag cloud something like:
#tag_cloud {padding-left: 20px;}might work.
Thanks for trying out the music. Not sure which parts you checked out, but if it’s sounding a bit harsh try the ambient album it’s a very relaxed affair and might appeal more π
Enjoy the wine!
Hi Alex
Been ill so not had chance to respond till now.
I tried that fix but it didnt work.. πI’ll go try the ambient album π
