[Resolved] Widget Overlap

  • I tried to look through the forums to solve this problem but alas I have not been successful. My widgets are slightly overlapping the content area on my webpage riopuercoalliance.org/about. I would like the borders to line up flush.

    Also can anyone tell me how to switch my home page away from “Under construction”? I tried to publish HOME but no luck! You’ll see if you click the HOME button in MENU. (This may be more of a question for the host too?)

    Thanks!

  • You’ve got some overlap on both sides. This worked for me:

    #content {
      margin-left: 180px;
      padding-left: 0;
      width: 565px;
    }

    Usual stuff about making changes in a child theme if you don’t completely control the theme’s code and want to save yourself potential grief in the future.

    Don’t understand what you mean about your home page. It all looked fine to me.

    cheers

    peredur, I copied that into the style.css but the only thing that happened was some text appeared at the very top of the site, no matter where I put it in the style.css. where exactly should I paste this line code?

    also, the homepage issue has been settled.

    GOT IT! THANKS!
